MAGNETIC TRACK / PRODUCT FAMILY

M26 Linear Grille Lights

The M26 linear grille family offers a repeated sequence of optical cells in several body lengths. Use the line to support a clear lighting task while preserving the slim character of the rail arrangement.

Set the cell rhythm

Repeated grille cells can emphasize the direction of the track. Check how module lengths and empty rail alternate across the ceiling rather than choosing every body at the same length. Start the drawing with the furniture edges, then place the ends of the grille bodies against those reference lines. A long row crossing a doorway can look misplaced even when its center aligns with the room. The YZ-M26-6S, 12S, 18S, 24S and 30S options provide a sequence of different ratings; their numbers should remain attached to the complete model designation in the schedule. Request the corresponding body drawings before interpreting the sequence as a set of interchangeable lengths. Leave a deliberate break near a rail junction if the joint would otherwise interrupt a closely repeated cell pattern. View the arrangement with the lights switched off as well as on.

02

Work from the illuminated task

A grille row should correspond to a surface or activity below. Establish that target before finalizing the module schedule so the decorative rhythm also supports useful light. Over a console, note the depth of the displayed objects and the position from which people normally see them. A row centered on the console footprint may light the top while leaving vertical objects dark. Over a working surface, the person using it can stand between the light and the task; show that position on the section. Compare the proposed YZ-M26-12S or 18S with its own optical information rather than assuming the larger power option will correct a poor location. Ask the lighting designer to examine the actual mounting height and distance from the target. Keep the grille positions adjustable in the drawing until the resulting coverage has been assessed.

03

Compare the visible depth

The slim M26 rail and the attached grille form an assembly with its own silhouette. Review the body in elevation from normal room viewpoints. Looking across the room from a sofa exposes the grille underside and its relation to the rail more clearly than a ceiling plan does. Include the neighboring curtain head or cabinet top in that view, because an apparently isolated fitting may line up awkwardly with either. Black and white are listed finishes for this family, so compare the intended body color with the rail and ceiling paint rather than treating finish as a final administrative choice. Obtain the dimensional sheet for the selected 6S through 30S body and draw its installed projection. A shallow rail does not by itself establish the total depth of the lighting assembly or its appearance near a low beam.

04

Balance with broad illumination

A room may need more than directed grille light. Compare the grille arrangement with flood modules where orientation and background brightness require a wider distribution. A bright dining tabletop surrounded by dark walls can feel more isolated than the ceiling drawing suggests. Mark the wall or circulation zone that needs a broader contribution, then reserve a separate part of the rail for that function. Keep the M26 grille ratings of 6, 12, 18, 24 and 30W tied to their respective models; adding grille wattage does not automatically produce the same effect as adding a broader optic. The optical face and its distribution change where the light goes. Review a mixed layout with both layers operating, then assess whether the grille accents remain distinct. The aim is a legible room with useful local emphasis, rather than a rail filled entirely with one luminous pattern.

05

Review color consistency

Choose the intended color-temperature description for the installation and request the corresponding luminaire selection. Compare representative finishes under the proposed light during the sample discussion. Include the wood veneer, wall paint and textile that sit beneath the grille, since a neutral sample board alone may conceal an unwanted cast. Where several grille bodies appear in one sightline, record the chosen light-color description against every model instead of placing it only in the email subject. A replacement YZ-M26-6S and an original YZ-M26-24S should be ordered against the same agreed visual intent even though their bodies and ratings differ. Evaluate the sample after other strong room lights are reduced, then compare it again beside daylight. Keep finish color separate from emitted light color in the schedule; black or white describes the body and cannot tell procurement which lighting appearance to request.

06

Retain complete model names

Record the M26 prefix and intended body length with each luminaire description. A short numeric label alone is too easy to confuse with another lighting family. Write YZ-M26-18S in full, followed by the grille description, specified light color and selected black or white finish. Attach the approved body drawing so that a later substitution can be checked against the visible cell arrangement as well as the electrical rating. The table associates 18S with 18W, while the other listed bodies follow their own corresponding ratings. Preserve those associations when quantities are revised; a spreadsheet that carries only a total wattage can hide an unintended change in module mix. Give each ceiling position a location reference, especially where several body sizes share one rail. Before issuing an order, compare the drawing labels with the supplier's item descriptions line by line.

07

Ask for the optical sheet

Share the target surface and installation geometry when requesting technical information. Use the supplied photometric details to refine the grille positions before confirming quantities. A useful request describes the mounting height, horizontal offset, target width and the main viewing direction; a photograph of the ceiling alone leaves those relationships unresolved. Ask for the sheet belonging to the exact YZ-M26 grille body in the proposal, because a family illustration cannot establish the coverage of every size. The electrical schedule should also identify this as a 48V selection and include the actual power of each module. Keep optical and electrical reviews connected without confusing them: an adequate supply cannot correct light landing beyond the display. After a sample is aimed, mark the accepted rail position and the surface it serves on the drawing so the purchasing decision remains understandable during installation.

Bring the selection into the room: M26 Linear Grille Lights

Build the grille request around the cell pattern and the surface beneath it. Mark the chosen YZ-M26-6S through 30S bodies on a furnished ceiling plan, include their black or white finish, and attach the target dimensions for optical review. Leave the broad-light portions of the room visible in the same drawing. The final order should explain both the repeated ceiling rhythm and the separate illumination tasks that give each grille row a reason to be there.
